Piludi – Video Converter is the official version 2.0+ release and direct continuation of Free Video Converter – By DesignoFly.

To unify our creative desktop tools under the cohesive Piludi Software Suite brand, the application has been renamed and upgraded from Free Video Converter – By DesignoFly to Piludi – Video Converter (Formerly Free Video Converter – By DesignoFly).

  • Product Continuity: Piludi – Video Converter represents the direct evolution and ongoing version track of Free Video Converter – By DesignoFly. Both references denote the exact same authentic desktop product developed and published exclusively by DesignoFly Studio.
  • Unchanged Privacy Commitment: While the user interface, conversion speeds, and format capabilities have significantly advanced in this version, our core privacy philosophy remains completely unchanged: all video encoding, conversion, and compression operations continue to execute 100% locally on your personal device with zero cloud uploads.

2. Privacy by Design (Core Summary)

  • 100% Local On-Device Processing: All video conversions, container remuxing (“Just Convert”), hardware-accelerated encoding, and file compressions occur entirely on your local Windows PC.
  • Zero Cloud Transfers: Your video files, audio tracks, and exported media are never transmitted, uploaded, streamed, or stored on external servers or cloud services.
  • No Account or Registration Required: You can use every feature of Piludi – Video Converter without creating an account, providing an email address, or logging in.
  • Zero Telemetry or Analytics Tracking: We do not embed third-party tracking libraries, advertising SDKs, analytics beacons, or usage-monitoring telemetry.
  • Fully Functional Offline: The application does not require an active internet connection to convert or compress media.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

Piludi – Video Converter functions strictly as a local desktop workstation. We do not collect, monitor, log, or share:

  • Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect your name, physical address, email address, phone number, location, or IP address.
  • Video & Media Content: We never access, preview, view, or transmit the contents of the videos you import. Your files remain exclusively under your local operating system’s file control.
  • Device Identifiers: We do not collect hardware UUIDs, MAC addresses, device serial numbers, or digital browser/system fingerprints.
  • Usage & Behavioral Data: We do not track which video formats you convert, how frequently you open the application, the size of your video files, your selected output presets, or how long conversions take.

4. How the Application Operates & Local Permissions

To convert and compress multimedia files, Piludi – Video Converter interacts solely with your local Windows operating system:

1. Local File System Access: When you drag and drop a video into the app or select files using the Windows file dialog, the application reads the source file from your local storage to perform conversion. Output files are saved strictly to the folder destination you specify.

2. Local Hardware Acceleration (GPU): The application queries your local graphics hardware (NVIDIA NVENC, Intel Quick Sync Video, AMD AMF, DirectX D3D11) solely to utilize your GPU’s physical encoding chips locally for faster processing. No hardware diagnostics or telemetry are transmitted externally.

3. Application Cache & Temporary Files: During two-pass compression, temporary encoding chunks may be written to your local Windows temporary folder (AppData\Local\Temp). These files remain on your PC and are automatically cleared upon task completion or application exit.

5. Third-Party Services & Store Distribution

  • Microsoft Store: If you download the application from the Microsoft Store, download delivery, installation, and automated store updates are managed by Microsoft pursuant to the Microsoft Privacy Statement. DesignoFly Studio does not receive or store your Microsoft account credentials or billing records.
  • Zero Advertising SDKs: The application is 100% free of commercial advertising networks, user-profiling trackers, and third-party data brokers.

6. Data Security

Because Piludi – Video Converter does not transmit or store your files or data remotely, your multimedia assets are inherently protected against remote interception, server vulnerabilities, and unauthorized third-party cloud breaches. Security resides entirely within your local Windows user access controls.

7. Children’s Privacy

Piludi – Video Converter does not collect personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13. The application is entirely safe, offline, and suitable for users of all ages.
